Nikos Christodoulides’ burdens and the Cyprus problem

The tough dilemmas of next autumn and the answers of European leaders to Christodoulides that he should turn to the UN Secretary-General.

When South Cyprus President Christodoulides was asked to comment on the issue of advisers and the reactions caused by the appointments to the Presidential Palace, he said:

“When I started the election campaign, not only was I on my own, but some people stopped talking to me because I chose to follow a lonely path.”

This is a confession by Nikos Christodoulides about the political loneliness he feels, even with EDEK, DIPA and DIKO in government.

Therefore, a key question arises as to whether Christodoulides is willing to move forward on the Cyprus problem, bearing in mind the possibility of finding himself completely alone.
