Police have released a photo of a teenage girl who was reported as missing on Wednesday at her private school in Larnaca.
According to police, 14-year-old Nguyen Tran Thuong from Vietnam was reported as missing on Wednesday since morning time. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue trousers as part of her school uniform.
Unconfirmed reports later suggested that the brother was told that his sister never showed up for class
Police told Knews the exact time of the girl’s disappearance was not known, while confirming reports that her brother was said to have dropped her off in the morning.
Members of the public were being asked to notify Larnaca police by dialing 24.804.060 if they know anything about the teen’s whereabouts or contact their nearest police station. They may also dial the emergency numbers, 112 or 199 or call the Citizen Hotline at 1460.
Sources initially told Knews the complaint was filed by the school when it emerged that the teen was missing, but it was not immediately clear whether the school contacted police in the morning or later in the day.
