    Stress on Cyprus in Erdoğan’s message regarding the Treaty of Lausanne

    According to the statement made by the Presidential Directorate of Communications, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan released a message to mark the 96th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne.

    Stressing the Cyprus issue in his message, Erdoğan stated that the steps are taken in the Eastern Mediterranean and in the north of Syria clearly show our sensitivity with respect to the rights and interests of our nation and the Turkish Cypriots.

    Erdoğan stressed, “Any sanction threat, implied or open, will not deter Turkey from its rightful cause”.
