Suspect allegedly picked up little girl and raped her in woodland
The suspect, B.M.U., who was arrested in connection with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Nicosia, has been brought before the court.

Police said that between 15.30-17.00 on 26.12.2021, in Nicosia, the little girl was persuaded that he would taker her to the shops and she got into his vehicle and took her into the south-facing wooded area of Osman Örek street, where she was sexually assaulted against her consent in the back seat of the vehicle.
Police said he was identified and arrested in Nicosia on 26.12.2021 and his vehicle was seized as a sign.
Police said the investigation had just begun and that statements to be taken, mobile phone transcripts, as well as the complainant and the suspect will undergo a doctor’s check-up at The Hospital.
The court ordered him held in police custody for three days.
