TDP Chairman Cemal Özyiğit’s post is as follows:

It is evident at this year’s October 29th reception invitation of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia that it was listed just as it was upon arrival in Turkey, and some politicians, including us, were not invited.

At first glance, representatives of the political structures boycotting the Turkish President’s visit to Parliament are not invited.

Our demand for an equal-level relationship, free from interference, and respect for the will of the Turkish Cypriot people, is clearly not understood.

Again, it is clear that the government in Turkey has severed ties with some countries, adding a significant number of Turkish Cypriots to them.

Instead of allying with a people who are the reason for their existence in the Eastern Mediterranean, the current government in Turkey will surely pay for the consequences of such approaches to its own people.

One day, the corrupt structures formed by the political mafia network relations that have resurfaced with the recent humiliations of blackmail will also rot away.

On that day, the wounds will be healed, the relations that have been eroded today will develop, and friendships and brotherhoods will be restored.

On this occasion, despite everything, the century-old giant plane illuminated by the light of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk celebrates the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey and wish all our brothers and sisters in Turkey a bright tomorrow full of prosperity, peace and well-being.
