Oktay: “Turkey will not make any concessions for its rights and interests

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay stated that Turkey would not make any concessions for its rights and interests neither in Cyprus or the Aegean nor in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In his speech at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Oktay stated that they had connected the two shores with the bridge of friendship, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Libya, on the restriction of the maritime jurisdiction areas in the Mediterranean Sea.

“This agreement which was approved by the President and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and published in the Official Gazette, was also approved by Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) Presidential Council yesterday (9th December). Turkey will not make any concession for its rights and interests neither in Cyprus or the Aegean nor in the Eastern Mediterranean” Oktay said.
