Weak high pressure is affecting the area.
Tuesday will be mainly fine in most areas but locally it will be partly cloudy and at intervals cloudy. Temperatures will rise to 21 C inland and on the west coast, around 22 C on the remaining coasts and 12 C in the mountains.
Tonight will be mainly fine but locally there will be increased cloud, mainly in the west and north. Temperatures will fall to 7 C inland, 10 C on the coast and around 3 C in the mountains where frost is possible.
Wednesday will start off mainly fine but in the afternoon there will be increased local cloud which at night is expected to lead to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms.
Thursday may see some showers in the morning but will quickly clear to become mainly fine with locally increased cloud at intervals. Friday will be mainly fine.
Temperatures will edge up a little on Wednesday to a little above average for the time of year at least inland and in the mountains but there will be a noticeable drop on Thursday, particularly inland and in the mountains to a little below average for the time of year remaining at the same levels on Friday.
