President Mustafa Akıncı said that adopting an understanding of transforming natural wealth into an opportunity to bring peace and prosperity to the whole of Cyprus has become more urgent as military aircraft are being deployed in the South and North of the Island.
President Akıncı stated that the steps taken in the South to unilaterally benefit from the natural resources around Cyprus bring similar steps to be taken in the north and emphasized that the latest developments in Cyprus have transcended the urgency of a solution and transformed the needs of the region.
“All our efforts are free from tension in our region; to contribute to the establishment of conditions in which cooperation, peace and peace prevail.”
