Tatlısu is now the 5th Cittaslow Municipality of TRNC

Tatlısu Municipality has won the title of the 5th Cittaslow (calm city) municipality of TRNC.

Following the Municipalities of Yeni Boğaziçi, Lefke, Mehmetçik, and Geçitkale, confirmation of Tatlısu’s membership was informed via an e-mail sent by the Secretary-General of the Cittaslow Association Pier Giorgio Olivetti.

Tatlısu Mayor Hayri Orçan, who made evaluations regarding membership, said that Tatlısu’s acceptance to membership of Cittaslow was honorable on behalf of the Tatlısu people and the country.

Orçan stressed that they aimed to further expand Tatlısu’s tourism potential through different tourism models.
