An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck Cyprus region just after 3 in the morning on Tuesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The quake was at a depth of 2 km and 112 kilometers westerly-northwesterly of Limassol. No damages were reported.
A tsunami warning was issued.
