    Arrivals from 7 Countries to TRNC Have Been Halted

    Restrictions have been placed on entry to the TRNC from botswana, Esvatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, where the new (Covid-19) coronavirus mutation “Omicron” has been seen, announced by the World Health Organization (WHO).

    People from Botswana, Esvatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, or who have traveled to those countries in the past 14 days, will be able to enter the country provided they remain in central quarantine for 14 days according to the Health Ministry.

    As of 29.11.2021 at 00.00, persons from the specified countries or persons with a history of travel to these countries within 14 days (except trnc citizens) have been stopped from entering the country.

    Trnc citizens are conditioned to stay in central quarantine for 14 days if they come from these countries or have travel history to these countries within 14 days.
