At just eight years old, young Georgian Trakossi, from Nicosia, is battling her very own fight against the disease. She was diagnosed with a kidney tumor. The procedure to remove the tumor must be done in Germany.
The Ministry of Health covers all expenses for the eight-year old’s operation.
The surgery has been scheduled for November 16 and her family is appealing to the public fo help with airline tickets and living expenses. “Anyone who can help our baby to go to Germany. And the smallest contribution is large”, “Haralambos Trakossi’s father told the Reporter.
He went on to explain “Georgia was diagnosed on October 14th and we have to leave for Germany on November 12th. I hope God helps us, “he said.
To help with the family’s financial situation, family and friends have organized a Bingo night at Tasos Mitsopoulos Park in Larnaca, on November 2nd at 7 pm. The proceeds will go to the family, while the winners will receive prizes donated to the event.
