The 2019 European Junior Billiards Championship, represented by the Northern Cyprus Billiards Federation under the banner of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, has started after the opening ceremony in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.
The National Teams of 28 countries compete both team and individual in the 2019 European Youth Championship, which will last until the evening of July 29th.
Mustafa Alnar, our Young National Sports member who took second place at 10 ball Discipline last year, aiming for top spot this year in the championship. Mustafa has defeated Ragnar Gronsten of Sweden 7-1 and Adam Stankiewicz of Poland 7-3 without any loss. Alnar needs to win his next 4 to win the championship.
Alara Ghaffari, our European Girl National athlete who had a third place in Europe, made a good start in the championship at 10 ball discipline by beating 5-4 Anna Riegler from Austria and Megan Rademakers from Netherlands with the same result.
