    SANER: Businesses will close at 1AM

    Following the decision of the Council of Ministers to lift the curfew as of 00.01 am today, Prime Minister Ersan Saner announced that all businesses except off-licenses and similar businesses have decided to close at 01.00 at the latest, in accordance with the assessment of the Upper Committee on Infectious Diseases.

    Prime Minister Saner also said that they have approved the payment of TL 74,259,840 in compensation to grain producers for 360,000 acres of arid land.

    The Meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Ersan Saner, started at around 11.30am today and was completed. After the meeting, which lasted about three and a half hours, Prime Minister Saner made a statement and shared the decisions taken at the meeting with the public.

    Reminding that the curfew was lifted as of 00.01 am today with the decision taken by the Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Saner noted that the Upper Committee of Infectious Diseases has proposed that all businesses except off-licences and similar businesses close at 1:00 a.m., in this context, all businesses except exceptional businesses will close by 01.00 this evening.

    Prime Minister Saner stated that since they came to government, they have made very serious efforts to start face-to-face education in universities, and reminded that they have carried out a very serious program to bring 15,000 foreign students to the country in April.

    FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING AT UNIVERSITIES STARTED YESTERDAY

    Prime Minister Saner stated that as a result of his successful work in Covid 19, 1000 trainings were started in universities as of yesterday in order to become one of the most reliable countries in the world, and in addition, efforts were started to vaccinate students from 3rd world countries and especially students from countries that WHO considers to be rural countries.

    Prime Minister Saner noted that close to 20,000 students are expected in the country this year.

    Prime Minister Saner stated that the 10.65 cost of living allowance, which should be reflected in salaries in January due to the economic difficulties caused by Covid 19, has started to be paid from today, and that the first installment of the cost of living covering January, February and March, i.e. the difference in January, is paid today.

    DROUGHT… 74 MILLION TL COMPENSATION FOR 360 THOUSAND ACRES

    Pointing out that the total burden of this on finance is around TL 24 million, Prime Minister Ersan Saner noted that this year has been a dry period, farmers are experiencing serious difficulties, and as a result of the determination and evaluation made by the General Agricultural Insurance Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, it was decided to pay TL 74,259,840 to 360,000 acres of land in the country that has become drought-shroid.

    Prime Minister Saner pointed out that the rates of drought of the land here are also categorized as having never been drought-free with 90 percent, 70 percent and 50 percent according to their regions, and stressed that they will be supported from today as they have previously supported tradesmen who are suffering due to Covid 19 and who are having a difficult time economically.

    Prime Minister Saner said that partial grant programs were continued in cooperation with the homeland TC as in the past, and reminded that 60 million TL of grant aid was made to tradesmen, farmers, livestock and the tourism sector on July 20th.

    11 MILLION TL OF HYBE SUPPORT

    Prime Minister Saner said that they have now announced the support of an 11 million TL grant to young entrepreneurs, which was opened today to cover the last three months and will be opened on the 8th, and that all of these grants will be made within the framework of the “Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocol” with the homeland TC.

    11 MILLION TL TO STOCK INDUSTRY, AGRICULTURE, TOURISM AND YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

    Prime Minister Saner also thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vice President Fuat Oktay for their contributions and noted that TL 3 million of the 11 million TL grant program to be given was to industrialists.

    Prime Minister Saner pointed out that the grant to the industrialists will be provided for increased added value and productivity in production and for the international opportunities of the products, and the other 3 million are allocated to agriculture.

    Noting that there are support for the dissemination of modern production techniques in agricultural enterprises, Prime Minister Saner stated that there are grant supports related to increasing the added value of agricultural products.

    Prime Minister Saner stated that the 3 million TL grant to be given to the tourism sector is for improving the quality of service and diversity of the facilities in tourism, improving the quality of tourism and creating new facilities, and that the 2 million TL grant will belong entirely to young entrepreneurs.

    Prime Minister Saner said that from 2019, entrepreneurial support will be provided to young people who start and run businesses, adding that applications will start on October 8th.
