A “major incident” is being investigated by police in the Crawley area of West Sussex.
The Press Association news agency says there are reports there may have been fatalities.
Photos from the scene in Hazel Way, Crawley Down showed a large police presence and a white sheet in the road covering what appeared to be a body.
