It will be mainly fine on Wednesday with an orange warning issued for extremely high temperatures which are expected to rise to 42 C inland.
The Mediterranean island’s Meteorology Service also forecasts temperatures to rise to 33 C in the west and north coasts, 35 in the south and east coasts, and 34 C in the mountains.
Winds will be variable, south-westerly to northeasterly, light to moderate, over smooth to slight seas.
