    Ex-Trump lawyer behind bars again

U.S. President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen is back in federal jail just two months after being released amid coronavirus concerns. On Thursday, Cohen was taken to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, according to his lawyer – following a dispute over the conditions for serving his sentence under home confinement. Speaking outside a federal courthouse in Manhattan – Cohen’s lawyer said the 53-year-old had been ordered to appear in court to convert his furlough to home confinement… He said they were presented with an agreement that barred Cohen having any contact with the media and from posting on social media. After objecting, his lawyers said the U.S. Marshall’s service took Cohen into custody because he failed to agree to the terms. Cohen was released from federal prison on furlough on May 20. At that point, he had completed about a year of a three-year sentence for his role in hush money payments to two women, as well as for financial crimes and lying to Congress about plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Thursday’s events come a week after Cohen was spotted at a high-end French restaurant near his Park Avenue apartment in Manhattan, according to the New York Post.
