After the meeting in the group room of the Republican Assembly, Prime Minister Ersan Saner made a statement to the press.
Saner stated that the date of the election could not be determined because the opposition could not agree with it, “We submitted our resignation to our President today because we could not set any election date.
I would like to state that we are ready for early elections as UBP within the framework of the method that the president will follow.”
Pointing to UBP’s 46th-anniversary reception on October 11th, Saner said, “We are confident that the people here will lead us to power alone, and this has been the most important factor in us taking steps regarding early elections.”
