International Film and Audiovisual professionals from around the world met up today at the Filoxenia Conference Centre in Nicosia for the first Cyprus Film Summit 2018.

The Summit began yesterday with a tour of the old walled city of Nicosia and will continue tomorrow with tours of Kakopetria, Troodos Mountains and Platres Village in the morning followed by a tour of Kourion Ancient Theatre in the afternoon.

The Summit will conclude on Friday with site visits to potential filming locations.

It has been organised by  Invest Cyprus, Cyprus Tourism Organisation and Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus in order to discuss the latest developments in the industry in Cyprus and witness first-hand all the island has to offer as a natural filming studio.

More than 120 delegates from Europe, North America, Russia, India and Cyprus gathered at the Filoxenia to hear, amongst other things, why Cyprus is a “Natural Film Studio”.
