There have been 2 more deaths from Covid-19! The death toll today has risen to three.
A 73-year-old covid-19 positive woman with a single dose of Sinovac vaccine who was hospitalized at The Pandemic Hospital in Nicosia died at 21:00 tonight despite all the interventions.
Meanwhile, another 57-year-old female patient died of covid 19 at 8:30 p.m. tonight, even though she was unvaccinated.
Yesterday, 4 people died in TRNC due to Covid-19.
The number of tests carried out in the last 24 hours was 14,009, 179 positive cases, 1 person died and 128 people were discharged.
55 people are from Nicosia, 37 from Kyrenia, 47 from Famagusta, 7 from Iskele, 2 from Guzelyurt, 1 from Lefke Region.
One death from Covid-19 and 213 new infections were recorded in Cyprus on Saturday, according to the Health Ministry. The positivity rate is 0.45%.
The number of deaths since the start of the pandemic last year has now risen to 497. And that of recorded infections stands at 113,069.
Moreover, 152 people are being treated in hospital, 59 in serious or critical condition.
The Ministry also said that almost 83 per cent of the Covid patients are not vaccinated.
The person who died at Famagusta Hospital on Saturday is a man, aged 85.
