During the period from February 22 to February 28, 2021, a total of (30) traffic accidents occurred in the TRNC .
Of these accidents; (1) death, (8) injury, and (21) damage.
The reasons of traffic accidents occurring during the period;
Driving fast (9),
careless driving (5),
not stopping at the intersection (7),
close following (5)
and other factors (4) were included.
The total amount of damage in accidents is 576,300. The distribution of the accidents by region is as follows. ”

During the traffic checks carried out by the police across the country between February 22 and February 28, 2021, a total of 1517 vehicle were checked and further action was taken against 175 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed a crime. The distribution of the crimes is as follows;

Careless Driving (14),
Driving without a License (8),
Driving with an S / Licensed Vehicle (3),
Driving with Alcohol (8),
Talking with a Mobile Phone while Driving (14 ),
Not Complying with Traffic Signs (8),
Not Complying with Traffic Lights (1),
Driving Without MOT (2),
Driving Without Insurance (7),
and 25 other traffic offenses were reported.
