South Cypus: Only 19 booked for breaking lockdown overnight 14

Only 19 people were booked overnight for breaking the lockdown after 2,273 police checks from 6 pm on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday.

Police also carried out 911 checks on-premises and booked four for violations of the decree to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

As regards the decree on the restriction of movement police carried out the following checks:

Nicosia: 628 checks, 4 booked

Limassol: 708 checks, 9 booked

Larnaca: 254 checks, none booked

Paphos: 227 checks, 3 booked

Famagusta: 199 checks, 2 booked

Morphou: 128 checks, none booked

Police HQ traffic unit: 70 checks, 1 booked

MMAD: 59 checks, none booked
