Firefighters were scrambled to a cinema in north London after a blaze started ripping through the roof of the building.
Images show Vue Cinema in Wood Green, in Haringey, engulfed in flames as firefighters worked to bring it under control on Saturday afternoon.
Large plumes of smoke were seen filling the sky as the large Hollywood sign perched on top of the roof was seen ablaze at around 2pm.
London Fire Brigade said the two floors of the cinema were evacuated this afternoon and that no one was injured.
The fire has now been extinguished, confirmed the brigade.
Unconfirmed reports say eyewitnesses in shops nearby saw people throwing canisters at the building.

However, the cause of the fire has not yet been established.
The cinema chain was in the headlines last weekend over the company boss’ decision to pull the film Blue Story, with many criticizing the move as ‘racially motivated’.
Vue bosses decided to ban the movie after a brawl reportedly broke out at a screening in Birmingham on Saturday.
Following public outcry, Vue announced it would allow the film to be shown again at the cinemas, putting their original move down to security concerns.
Fire services said they were called to the scene when ‘a neon electrical sign on the roof area set alight.’ A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said: ‘There has been a small fire in the Hollywood sign on the outside of the building containing the Vue cinema in Wood Green ‘The fire, which started around 2pm, has been extinguished.
All customers and staff have been evacuated safely and there are no reported injuries.’
