A man has been injured following a shooting incident outside a nightclub in Nicosia, with reports saying the shooter has been identified.
According to local media, a foreign national (Syrian) was shot in the head on Sunday early morning, around 6am, following an altercation he had with the shooter who was described as a Greek Cypriot male and a person known to law enforcement authorities.
The incident took place outside a nightclub in the Engomi area, west Nicosia, with the two men reportedly getting into a heated argument. At one point, the local man allegedly pulled a gun and shot the other male in the head.
The Syrian man was rushed to the Emergency Room at Nicosia General Hospital, while no further information was immediately available regarding his condition.
Nicosia police are investigating the incident.
