Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay said that they found an opportunity to convey their views on the Cyprus problem to their collocutors in New York.
Evaluating their first day in New York to BRT, Özersay said “The Cyprus problem should not be degraded to a paper exercise as a reference paper.
“If we do not focus on the main reasons of the Cyprus problem and change the basic conditions, we cannot proceed, and will stay at the same stage and lose time.
The Cyprus problem cannot be resolved by a reference paper and becomes more complicated. The UN and the other international actors should see this reality. We underline these issues to our collocutors at the meetings” Özersay stressed.
