Elizabeth Spehar, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Cyprus met on Wednesday with Nicos Anastasiades in Limassol, ahead of a report the UN Secretary-General is expected to submit regarding the peacekeeping mission in Cyprus (UNFICYP). Speaking after the meeting, which lasted for about an hour, Spehar said it was constructive.

“I met with the President and saw that he is fine,”  the UN top official told reporters, referring to Anastasiades recovery from surgery. She went on to say that the meeting was constructive and that she would meet with the Mustafa Akinci this evening.

The meeting was also attended by Nicos Christodoulides, Prodromos Prodromou, and the  Kyriacos Kouros.
