Anastasiades hospitalised after breaking hip 1

Nicos Anastasiades was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery on Saturday after a slip-and-fall accident.

According to preliminary reports, Anastasiades broke his leg while walking on steps in Limassol on Saturday morning. It was reported that Anastasiades took a wrong step and as a result, he suffered a fracture to his right hip.

It was not clear whether the accident took place on a staircase, but doctors said  Anastasiades was out of any danger. He was taken to a private clinic in Limassol where he was scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a broken hip.

It was reported that Anastasiades miscalculated a step and as result, he suffered a fracture to his right hip

According to Kathimerini Cyprus, the surgery is expected to be difficult but doctors were described as optimistic.

Anastasiades’ doctor was said to have treated the first lady’s mother a few months ago for a similar problem.
